KathySellsOTOW.com is built with a 55+ audience in mind, and accessibility is part of the foundation — not an afterthought. This page explains what we’ve done, what tools are available for visitors, and how to reach us if something isn’t working.

Our commitment

We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. That means readable body copy, clear headings, keyboard-only navigation, visible focus states, and a color palette with strong text-to-background contrast throughout.

Built-in accessibility features

Every page of this site includes an Accessibility settings button in the lower-left corner. Opening it gives you these controls:

  • Text size — three levels: default, larger, and largest.
  • High contrast mode — swaps the palette for a pure black-on-white scheme.
  • Dyslexia-friendly font — switches body copy to a spacing-heavy sans-serif recommended by the British Dyslexia Association.
  • Reduce motion — pauses transitions and animations across the site.
  • Highlight links — underlines and bolds every link so they stand out for visual scanning.
  • Larger cursor — enlarges the mouse pointer.

Your choices are saved on your device and applied automatically on return visits. Click Reset all in the widget to clear them.

Works with your assistive technology

The site is intentionally structured so that the tools you already use — screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver), browser zoom, operating-system contrast modes, and keyboard-only navigation — work without interference. We do not use a third-party accessibility overlay, which some assistive technology users have reported as disruptive.

If any part of this site is difficult to use, please tell us and we’ll fix it. Every message is read personally.
